Thanksgiving is a time for giving Thanks, remembering all you have, spending time with family, eating way too much food, and for me not having to cook!! That is my favorite part! So what's up with my family all deserting me this year, don't they realize I rely on them so that my little family can enjoy the craziness of Thanksgiving without me having to do something I really, really don't enjoy. They are all leaving! My parents are going to Mexico, and my sisters are going to the other side of their families this year. They are not all suppose to leave on the same year.
My Thanksgiving dinner is just not going to be the same with me having to do all the cooking, my poor family.
I am grateful though that Todd is going to be home this year for Thanksgiving, (he even managed to get Christmas off too, he hasn't had a full Christmas off for about 8 years, we are so way excited). Todd will make it all so much better, he will help me cook and he'll do all the dishes for me, which I really loath doing as well. I'll clean the whole house, but dishes and laundry I just hate doing, crazy I know, normally women just love these chores!
So there you have it my Thanksgiving whoas. I have gone out and bought everything, which is way more expensive then when I share in the expense, I have it all planned out and I'm ready to buckle down and do it. But if someone happens to call on Thanksgiving and I'm a little stressed and a little to quick to snap at you, forgive me please! I was put out of my element for the day, and should be back to normal by Friday!
My family and I will be praying everyday that my extended family stays in town next year! Hahaha. If not I think I'll be hitting the restaurant scene, maybe I should do that this year and forget the cooking. It's an idea that I'll have to consider, so what restaurants are open?

Marie Callendar's and Denny's are traditionally open. Betos and Del Taco were too one year. The lines are way line and if you don't reserve ahead like we never did MC will end up feeding you ham because they always run out of turkey.
I think you should just organize a "Mona Family Thanksgiving" and invite others from town who have nowhere to go. It makes it so much more pleasant that way. I love creating my own family from those I love here! Besides, who knows who else is in the same boat.
I should have talked to you before we made our Thanksgiving plans! I'm cooking for my inlaws. I wish they were the ones going to Mexico!!?!!
