Monkey's turning 9!!!

My Monkey is turning 9 in just a few hours. Boy does the time fly! Ki is my clown he loves to be silly and joke around. He is such a laid back boy, at least most of the time. You do have to watch out though he as a little fire in him that he can't hold in all the time. I think he gets that part from me. Sorry for that Bud!! Ki gets his nickname from the fact that he is a climber. He climbs everything. He can't seem to keep his feet on the ground. He was climbing trees between 2-3 years old. People are always telling me Ki is up so high in that or this, aren't you worried he is going to fall. NOPE, he has been climbing forever and hasn't fallen yet (knock on wood). We love having Ki in our family and can't wait to see him grow into the amazing young man I know he will be.
Happy Birthday Monkey, we love you!!!

Does Anyone Else Love Landscape Pictures?

These are taken out at Burraston Ponds just a couple of miles for my house. I love Landscape pictures.

"Princess"

As I was working on these pictures, TJ came and sat in my lap and proceeded to tell me about the "Princess" I was working on. I told her," It's Stephy Princess". She said, "No, Princess". I had to agree Stephny looked like a Princess for her Senior Ball. Steph and her Sister both don't like to do the normal, sometimes boring stuff that everyone else does, they like to mix it up. So when Steph was asked to go to the Senior ball, of course she couldn't go in just and ordinary formal, she decided to dress up and have some fun, and yes she was the only one there in costume. She loved being herself and not caring what others think. I love that about my nieces. I wish I could have been a little more like that in High School. It probably would have been more fun! Love you Stephy and you looked gorgeous!

I can't help it, she's my little doll!

I absolutely love all the hair pretties out for little girls these days. These hats are some of my favorites. TJ looked so adorable today that I couldn't help myself, I had to take some pictures. The only thing that I think that could have made her outfit even more cute, is a pair of fluffy boots.
Don't you think these boots would have just made her outfit? I found these on e-bay for $5.99 plus shipping. I had them saved and was going to buy them, them decided I really couldn't justify the spending. I really, really wanted them too. I really need to find some extra money, or have a long lost relative that I don't know about, that is filthy rich give me some money , so that I can go and deck out my 2 girls in all the cute winter stuff they have out. Maybe it will still be in fashion next year, and I can figure out how to save up some money without cars breaking down and appliances going out, fat chance! A girl can dream can't she?
Anyway here are some pictures of TJ all dressed up for church, I think this 1st one is one of my new favorites, I love her little pucker!

I was just playing around with the filter gallery, fun stuff!!

Knightin's Class Picture

Knightin's Headstart class took their pictures about a month ago. He isn't much into the whole picture taking thing that day. It was a long day for them. Knightin road the bus to school, which takes about 30 to 40 minutes. Then they get out for a quick break. Then they all get back into the bus to head to Springville. Another 50 minute ride. Then the photographer was behind so they had to hang out for a bit. They got their picture then the bus ride back to the school then the ride home. Kni was so tired when he got home. I forget how small Knightin is until I see him with others around his age. Most people don't think he is as old as he is, with his size and being a little behind at the moment. His teacher says he is the smallest in class. I do think preschool is doing him some good though, he is starting to talk a lot more and a good portion we can understand. Yeah for help in that area, and yeah for a break for mom!

Carry's Family

This is my sister and her family. It was so cold this day! My brother-in-law has been working for UVU forever, so they went with the school theme this year. Go UVU!
My Nephews and Niece are getting so old. My oldest Nephew is 20 and the twins are going to be 11 soon. The twins are the same age as my oldest. It so doesn't seems like it has been 10 years.

Monday - Friday Yeah!!

I thought this was such a cute poem. It's is what probably most people feel about their jobs right? Todd really does love his jobs, and his bosses. The politics of all jobs have their ups and downs, but he loves working as a corrections nurse and the inmates give him plenty of fun stories to tell. Todd has a 28 day rotating schedule. He has to work seven grave in a row, but for that he gets 7 off in a row, not a bad trade, but even Todd who is always happy and positive is ready for those night shifts to be over each month. About a year ago the jail was going to get a critical care nurse job that would have been a M-F job and Todd was excite and was going to put in for it, but then budget crunches happen and that position went out the door, so sad. So we just wait hoping that it will come open again someday.

So his bosses pull him in and tell him about a job that doesn't raise his pay and that he will probably get a few more things to do, hence the comic above. Todd is such a hard working, dependable and dedicated, sometimes I think this does happen to him. He gets more load put on him, because they know it will get done. Of course Todd never complains, he loves the fact that he stays busy, never a dull moment.

So thay tell him about the job, and what goes along with it and tell him, WE WANT YOU!!

So Todd has a new job, well a new position anyway, within the jail. He actually put in for it a couple of months. The Clinics Nurse there decide that he wanted a regular shift again, so the position went up for bid so to say. He hadn't heard anything since that time from his bosses, yet it was suppose to start in just a couple of weeks now. He kept hearing rumors that he had it from other that work there, but never anything offical from his bosses. Yesterday at work he finally got pulled in and offered the job. It is a M-F job 8 hour shifts. We will have him home on the weekends. We'll miss his 7 days off, but won't miss the working on Sundays and the 7 graves.
This is where is good work ethics pulled through for him once again.

Decorating for Christmas.

We didn't decorate our house for Christmas until Sunday. It took us forever this year. We usually do it right after Thanksgiving. Life just got into the way. It is done now though. The kids decorated the tree completely by themselves this year, they didn't do to bad. Taylar knew it was uneven, but still doesn't quite know what to do to fix it. It now looks different, cause the kids learned very quickly that our house still isn't quite ready for ornaments on the bottom half. TJ kept taking them off to play with and the dog stole them and chewed them up. So we are down a few ornaments now, and the tree is very top heavy with decorations. I didn't do a whole lot of decorations this year. For the kids we are spending our whole Christmas break up in the cabin at Camperworld. So Todd and I are going up the day before we go down and set up the office lounge all Christmasy. The stockings will be a little more tricky. The tree and decorations we just got some fun and inexpensive ones to use there. The lounge is nice and has a small electric fireplace and a nice TV and is all warm and cozy. It should be fun.
They got even more snow then we did, and my little brother is making different mounds of snow through out the camp ground (it's a private camp ground that no one visits during the winter) so that the kids can have jumps and hills to go sledding and 4-wheeling on during break. The cousins will be coming up several days too. We are also buying car tire inner tubes to pull behind the 4-wheelers. So we should have some fun filled days for the Christmas break and will will be drinking lots of hot chocolate.

New Superhero!

We would like you all to meet Energetic. She is our newest member of Todd's superhero family. This Energy girl was created for our sweet adorable niece Gwendolyn. Her parents decided energy, because Depending on her mood can generate or draw energy from those around. Todd had a lot of fun creating her.
Sweet Gwen, she turned a year old a little over a week ago. She is getting so big where does the time go. We made her superhero into a onesie instead of on a t-shirt and it turned out really cute, she should be getting it soon in the mail.

Here is Todd working with our heat press, he just finished up Gwen's and is now working on his Dad's t-shirt. We make him updated grandkid t-shirts every year. They are his pride and joy. He loves showing off his grandkids. I have a picture of the finished product, but I'm not going to post it. Sorry Jim you have to wait until Christmas!!!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it snow!!

Snow did come a little later this year. Which I'm fine with, by the way! Anyway we have had the couple little snows, but not much. I guess we had to make up for it all in 24-48 hours. This is what we woke up to Monday Morning. It was coming down pretty good and didn't stop for most of the day, then we had a little break that evening and got more that night. Todd shoveled are big drive way twice Monday, then both of us shoveled Tues. morning. Way to many hours spent on cleaning the driveway, but what can you do, it had to get cleared. My kids are in heaven, they are even getting their homework down quicker then normal so that they can go play and sled in the snow. There is a nice dirt hill across the street that they go to and they play for hours.
Todd out shoveling, probably about 3-4 inches so far.

Kids shoveling and playing after school.

Ki in front of our snow hedge that we are making between us and our neighbors. What do you do with that much snow? It's taller now. I forgot to take pictures the next morning after we shoveled even more snow. It's not as tall as it could have been because the wind took some of it down.

TJ all bundled up for playing.

By the end of the day on Monday, I took a yard stick and measured out in the middle of the yard and it was between 12-13 inch. We got a full foot. The next morning we couldn't tell for sure how much more we got, because of the strong winds we got during the night. We had snow banks all over. On the driveway, that was completely clean before we went to bed, we had spots that were 3-4 inches and spots that were 12-14 inches. So my guess is that we got 5-7 inches that night. putting at somewhere around the 18 inches in around 24 hours, crazy. It is still a sad snow fall, because the snow is so dry that it's not the good stuff to make a great big snow man. Maybe the next snow will be a little wetter. One thing we do know is that even if it doesn't snow on Christmas Day, it should still be a white Christmas. I don't think this snow is going anywhere, it is to stinkin' cold. The weather channel said it was 5 below this morning, but feels like 20 below and I think I heard someone say last night that we got a high of 5 above yesterday, TOASTY!! I'm feel very blessed to have a working heater right now!

Ward Christmas Party

We had our Ward Christmas Party on Saturday. Our ward did a breakfast this year and it turned out really good. My family ( meaning us and my two sisters families), got to help put it on, Since we do big breakfast every summer for Camperworld where my parents manage, they figured we might know what we are doing. Little do they really know that we never know what we are doing, but we fake it pretty good. Anyway it was fun and I think the ward enjoyed it. Santa came and my kids all got their pictures with him. TJ was pretty freaked. She even struggled when Todd went with her. Maybe next year it won't be so scary.
