Snow did come a little later this year. Which I'm fine with, by the way! Anyway we have had the couple little snows, but not much. I guess we had to make up for it all in 24-48 hours. This is what we woke up to Monday Morning. It was coming down pretty good and didn't stop for most of the day, then we had a little break that evening and got more that night. Todd shoveled are big drive way twice Monday, then both of us shoveled Tues. morning. Way to many hours spent on cleaning the driveway, but what can you do, it had to get cleared. My kids are in heaven, they are even getting their homework down quicker then normal so that they can go play and sled in the snow. There is a nice dirt hill across the street that they go to and they play for hours.
Ki in front of our snow hedge that we are making between us and our neighbors. What do you do with that much snow? It's taller now. I forgot to take pictures the next morning after we shoveled even more snow. It's not as tall as it could have been because the wind took some of it down.
TJ all bundled up for playing.
By the end of the day on Monday, I took a yard stick and measured out in the middle of the yard and it was between 12-13 inch. We got a full foot. The next morning we couldn't tell for sure how much more we got, because of the strong winds we got during the night. We had snow banks all over. On the driveway, that was completely clean before we went to bed, we had spots that were 3-4 inches and spots that were 12-14 inches. So my guess is that we got 5-7 inches that night. putting at somewhere around the 18 inches in around 24 hours, crazy. It is still a sad snow fall, because the snow is so dry that it's not the good stuff to make a great big snow man. Maybe the next snow will be a little wetter. One thing we do know is that even if it doesn't snow on Christmas Day, it should still be a white Christmas. I don't think this snow is going anywhere, it is to stinkin' cold. The weather channel said it was 5 below this morning, but feels like 20 below and I think I heard someone say last night that we got a high of 5 above yesterday, TOASTY!! I'm feel very blessed to have a working heater right now!
