Like many others, Todd and I are dealing with student loans. We are still working on his, but mine is now PAID IN FULL! The great thing about it is up until a couple of weeks ago I still had a little over six hundred to pay on it, we haven't had to make a payment on it for several months now, because after we got our tax refund we made a large payment and they put us on that we did a pre-payment for like 8 months. We were suppose to start making our payments again after the first of the year. So, we pick up the mail on our way out of town for a funeral and I get a letter from uheaa, I open it and in it, it tells us that, they are pleased to inform me that the remaining balance on my student loan has been forgiven as a way of thanking me for taking care of my loan obligation in a diligent manner. And that I will be getting my official PAID IN FULL status document in 2-3 weeks. I don't think I could have gotten much happier news in the mail, except that maybe my house loan was forgiven and now is Paid in Full. Well that one won't come true, but at least I can relish in my smaller loan being GONE!!ONE DOWN ONE TO GO!!

How exciting and unexpected! And just a twinge jealous :). We finally finally got our paid in full letter - still debating about framing it.
