Our school had spring break this week, so I have extra kiddies around the house from Wed. after school, on. Todd is on nights right now, and that probably would have stressed me out, having to keep kids quiet, but my dear sweet husband can sleep through anything. I have, as always, plenty of little projects going on, so things got crazy a few time over the last few days and having bad weather didn't help. We all survived and and ended up having a great day today. The weather is beautiful, Church was great and over all the kids have been good.
Yesterday afternoon, when TJ was taking her nap we decorated Easter eggs. I have to admit this is not my thing. I don't know why I don't have patience for things like this, but it drives me nuts working through the mess, but the kids like it, so we keep doing it. Todd loves this kind of thing, but of course he works all the Holiday, so lucky Mommy gets to do it. It was a success though and the kids were smiling.
Knightin was so excited, and didn't like it when we ran out of eggs to dye.
Sunday morning Easter pictures. The kids all got new shirts to where, except TJ she got a dress.
Isn't she a cheeseball?
We did the Easter egg hunt in the 30 minutes after Todd got up and showered, before he headed off to work. The kids got tired of waiting, but they also didn't want to do it without Daddy, so they endured.
TJ was so cute looking for and finding eggs. This is her first hunt, and she thought it was the coolest thing. As soon as she picked them up, she chucked them into the basket, no daintiness at all. I think every single egg was busted up. Knightin did the same thing, and was just as excited to find them as his sister.

Taylar is getting big and isn't believing in anything anymore. Santa, the Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, there just isn't any magic anymore for her. So we let her have some fun and hide all the eggs, she felt so big and had a huge smile the whole time helping TJ and Knightin find the eggs since she is the one that knew where they where. The 3 youngest were the only ones hunting this year. Ki decided to loose his privilege about 30 minute before it was time. I normally leave holiday stuff and fun out of discipline. I have a hard time taking that kind of thing from them, so I find alternative things for the consequence. This time though he push me a little too far. He was playing in the playroom and TJ started doing stuff he didn't like, I of course don't know the whole story, but what he did was not acceptable no matter what she did. She is still a baby. He decided that TJ was to annoying, so clawed her across the face. She had welts above and below her eye and could hardly keep her eyes open for about 10 minutes. What in the world enticed him to think that, that was OK. Needless to say I was not a Happy Mom and He lost hunting privileges and sat in timeout for a long time while I cooled down. All is good now though, and we did let him walk around outside with us. BOYS!!!

How did you get those Easter eggs to have such vivid colors?
I love the little dress you got for TJ. I got one like it and had to return it because it made my petite girl look like a mexican bartender. Kept falling off the shoulders and exposing her front. Sigh. TJ sure is growing up!
They turned out really bright this year, but I did tweak them just a little bit in Picasa, not much though!
