Yeah, I have move onto 2013. Just one more year to catch up on and then I can be finally in the present! I am not sure I took a lot of pictures in January, but a few things happened. Of course a brand new year and brand new goals, Todd and I turned 39, we got Buster. Todd made his 5 year mark at the Jail and we made it half way through our retirement. So with this year we have 14 years left until retirement. 54 not a bad age if I do say so myself. Todd doesn't actually plan to retire, but what a nice feeling. YW had there new beginnings. Ki got his boots off at the end of the month from hi surgery. And we did lots of unpacking and trying to settle in to our new place.
In February Ki started his physical therapy, we had Valentines Day, but the most fun is Todd and I got to go to Arizona, to see our nephew get baptized and take a quick little vacation. We stayed a few days and enjoyed. We only took the 2 youngest, we didn't think it was good to pull the older ones out of school, they had already missed school for Disneyland and Tay a day for her Christmas break trip. I have to say it was weird to travel with so few kids, it really did feel like I was missing something.
Well here are some highlight pictures from our trip. I know we have more somewhere, but I can't find them and that is what I get for not doing this last year when it actually happened.
Richard and Jack, just a little bit before getting baptized.
Richard, Jack, Todd and Jim
Cute boy!
Course we have to treats!
We got have Jack show off his new cub scout uniform for us.
Kate showing off her princess dress!
So, I am sure everyone knows that Arizona has a lot of cactus, though even I wasn't prepared for how they are literally everywhere. There were sections of the drive there that they were as thick as any tree forest. I thought it was cool, but TJ and Knightin were mesmerized at time with these things. Among the missing pictures were some of the pictures taken in the daylight hours of the kids with the cactus, but also they visited this work site that had huge dump trucks and tractors at least that is what I think they were I would need to see the pictures again. Anyway they kids could stand up tall in the tire wells. Knightin was in heaven. But since I can't find those pictures we are going to have to deal with these cactus picture in the dark that we took on our way home.
Before we left for home, we stop by one of my Missionary companions and visited for a few hours. It was fun to catch up with Janell ( Sister Dewitt now Whipple) for a bit. She has an adorable little girl, and bonus she married Charlie Whipple who was also from our mission and I served around him, so it was fun catching up with him as well.
Janell was one of my dorm sisters in the MTC, so I guess I got to serve with her twice. We had a ton of fun serving together, well at least I did, I can't actually speak for her, but she is amazing person that is always all smiles.
Oh look I did actually take 2 pictures of Ki at physical therapy!.
Over the next few months before school got out we had plenty of stuff going on. We had St .Patrick's day, school science fair, ( Ki is the only one this year. He did an experiment to find out which blanket would help you hold in the most heat. He heated up potatoes, then wrapped them in different types of blankets, with a thermometer sticking out, then would take readings every 5 to 10 minutes. It ended up being a cool experiment.) Ki also had a famous person fair/wax museum. The 2 six grade classes pick a person, found out info and fun facts about them. Then on the day of they dressed up best they could, and as people walked around they would push a fake button and the kids would start talking and telling facts about their person of choice. We watched conference, had bingo buckets and got conference hair done compliments of TJ, we also went to Logan for Easter to spend sometime with our friends the Bandley's, We built shelves in our cold storage and also in our under porch storage, Todd built me a bench out an old headboard, I made a bunch of tulle rosette for my sister for the play that was going on for JFAC, TJ and Knightin both learned how to ride a 2-wheeler, we lost some teeth, fell and got a fat lip, smashed some fingers, got another wasp sting, fell and cut open our head, dug a hole for our trampoline, put in grass seed around the tramp, played a lot in the sand box, made our own teeter totter, Ki earned an award through the school district. The whole 6th grade class made a cool origami bird mobile, they are making huge progress on our new Payson temple, went to the spring fling, had end of the year testing, TJ made new friends and graduated from preschool, Ki got a new scout leader and started camping once a month, he loved it but some of the hikes were hard on him and his newly surgeried feet, but he was a trooper and last but not least way back in February Todd found out that he was going to get to be an extra in one of the bible videos that the church is making. The scene he got to be in was when young Jesus was teaching in the temple. This was an amazing experience for Todd. During this time he got to grow his beard and hair out to look more the part. He got pretty shaggy after 4 months. I have to say I was not sad to see it go in June when it was all over. :) Whewwww, we like to stay busy in our house I guess.
Ki choose to do Walt Disney for his wax museum person.
I tried to be a little more fun and creative for the holidays, my kids really didn't appreciate it, so I will probably not do it again. It was very festive though.
My bench that Todd made me.
Storage, Yeah!
I was most excited about this. My cold storage for regular and food storage.
TJ and Knightin learning to ride their bikes
They love riding their bikes and spent hours on them this past summer!
I smashed my finger pretty bad, while caring a heavy coffee table with a sliding door on it down stairs. It took over a month to heal and stop hurting.
Another sting for Knightin, this one a little worse.
Lost tooth.
Smashed, fat lip. Poor guy!
Another lost tooth!
One of TJ's best friends. Her name is Oakley and she is a cutie. They decided they wanted to make Mac and Cheese for lunch!
Ki and the rest of his classmates that won awards from the district.
This is the origami mobil they made. I think Ki said he made over a 100 just himself. He loves it though. Origami is one of his favorite things to do.
Knightins booboo on his head. He had a rough few months.
Our Payson temple. It is way further ahead now, I will get a picture to add in. It is hopefully suppose to be done by the end of 2014. We are so excited. We are spoiled here in UT to have so many temples, and it isn't to big of deal to travel about an hour to go right now, but I will love it even more when it is only 20 minutes.
We have a friend that actually dug most of our hole with his tractor, but he left for awhile and showed Todd how to do it, and Todd had a blast.
Tramp in, Seed planted.
Seed sprouting.
All the rosettes that I made for my sister, this is only about half of them.
homemade teeter totter
Conference hair, Tay, Kelten and I all got our hair done!
A little timeline of Todd's progress on his hair and bread growth
Ki and a few pictures from different camping trips he went on. Through the year he went on 18 camping nights, and earned his hiking merit badge.
Kelten got to go whenever Todd could go, which was a good portion of them, now he is 12 and gets to go himself.
The only picture I could find of our Easter weekend with the Bandleys. The two boys stayed a few days longer since it was spring break.
TJ's graduation!
They did a little program where they acted out some doctor suess books. TJ was the mom in Cat in the Hat.
Well, I am almost halfway through the year. I will get caught up yet!!!

The group!
Course we have to treats!
Kate was showing us her move and in that conversation it was brought up that I could still almost do the splits even with this old , fluffy body of mine. So Kate and I should off together.
We got have Jack show off his new cub scout uniform for us.

I will check for those mine pictures. For some reason I think they were on my camera. We lost a bunch of pictures so I might not have them. Text me a reminder if I don't get back to you as things are crazy this month.
