October.... Is it done yet?

Wow, what a month. There was a lot stuff into this month. I feel like we didn't come close to accomplishing everything I had to. Oh well, that just seems like life these days. Sunday is usually the day I try and blog, but that day has been filled with stuff too. So I finally am getting a chance to catch up again. At least it has only been  a month instead of 9. This month has been filled with helping finish up Minday and Rogers house, and yes it is done, yeah! They are moved in, well at least in, they still have plenty of un-packing and organizing to do, but they are on their way. I have still been helping with Scouts, but they finally were able to fill those positions, so this should be my last week helping out. That will be OK with me. I can now just do my position of Training and registration. I have help now in the committee and have given half the stuff away, another relief. Todd has been busy at work and usual, we still don't see him a ton and when he is home it is filled with service to others, church calling or helping out at home with never ending projects.. Ki has been enjoying scouts andis about ready to pass off his scout badge, well he has been ready, just circumstances have kept him from getting it done.. Taylar has had a month full of group projects, preparing for her first concert, and red ribbon week dressing up daily. She is also a techie for the other concerts, so also went to the high school concert to help out.. The boys have just been busy doing school, scouts, book reports, red ribbon week and now preparing for Halloween tomorrow. Knightin is doing great in school and progressing well. We have his PTC this week, so we will find out what his teachers say. I have have taking many pictures this month, but have not gotten to editing them yet. We also have been trying to De-clutter our house and re-organize which is always fun. We cleaned out our garage yesterday and picked up the yard for the winter.  We have had some cooler weather this month, even had our first snow towards the beginning of the month, so we have been getting out winter clothes and getting the washed. I am working on putting together a new training package for parents and leader for cub scouting. I want be as efficient as possible. re-0charting started for cub scouting and that is always a fun time a year. We had a blood drive this month which I am the rep. for our ward. Our ward did good, but it was one of the worst ones over all. We have been having some serious mouse issues these last few months. The cats that used to live in our garage, decided to move out and now we have mice, not good. The pest man left out bait, but it doesn't seem to be working, so I broke down and got some kittens, that I hope will turn into good mousers. I guess you kind of need them in farm country.  I wonder sometimes though, cause we caught one and put it into our bathtub, then put then cats in, the just stared at them. I tried to get the mouse to run around to see if that intriged the cats and the mouse ran and hid under one of the cats. I wish I had the camera. They are young and well feed at the moment, so I guess we still have hope. I will get them fixed before I move them to the garage, which should be soon. Yesterday we also burn our big straw bale, which took forever and was extremely stinky, but Tay was helping Todd start the fire, we were using a little bit of gasoline and when it started it started fast and Tay was a little to close. We were lucky and she just got a little of her hair, eyelashes and eyebrow singed, but that was very scary. I'm glad Todd was standing right there. Also this week I took Kelten out on his birthday date, and Friday afternoon we took the kids trick-o-treating in Nephi, then took them out to dinner at IHOP for free "Scarey Face Pancakes" I love when we get free food. I am sure that there is more that went on, but this gives you a pretty good run down of my crazy month. I don't see November being much better, but hopefully I can blog a little better. Now for the pictures!

First snow of the year. That week was pretty cold, especially since we went from the 80's down to the 40's. It didn't stay and we some good fall weather for a few weeks, now it is starting to get cold and I think it is going to stay this time.
End product! My plants actually survived and are now finally starting to die.
Our new kittens. They are pretty funny to watch, and very playful. This is the list of names that my kids came up with, that we had to choose from. The winning names are circled. I think I am a little bit allergic, so it will be good for them to be outside, plus I try, but I really am not a huge animal person, and we already have our little dog. 3 animals is way to much for me.
TJ made this bed for them out of her shirt and baby blanket. That little girl drags those poor kitties everywhere.

 They love my camera case!
I have know idea why this picture is so small, but if you can see it, it looks like the cat is smiling. I always thought pictures like this where Photoshopped, but I promise this one isn't. I think it is hilarious.
Hershey thinks these cats are her personal moving toys, she hardly gives them a moments peace. At least they can get places Hershey can't. So I let them work it out.

My baby sleeping with her baby kitty!
She got stuck in this bucket, she thought it was fun for like the first minute, by time I got back out with my camera, she was not happy. I had to bribe her to smile.
Tay working on a cake for cake contest during red ribbon week. I have know idea if they won anything, but they had fun making it and messing everything up.
 Close-up, half way done.
Project she was doing with her two cousins for one of her classes. She is becoming quite the artist.
I forgot to get her other pictures. She dressed up as a superhero, for "hero vs. Nerd" day. And a cowgirl for "Cowboy vs Indian" day. This was "Blast from the past" She did 80's. It is weird to have my era be a blast from the past.
"Lazy Day"
She was looking forward to dress up days since last year. She is so her Daddy's girl.

Tay's first Concert. Isn't she so cute with her tiny Cello?
Scouts this week we did a Halloween Carnival with all 3 groups. The boys had a blast. This is the boys playing Monster Mash. Marbles tossed in the monsters mouth.
 Mummy Wrap

Ki getting wrapped!
I thought this was a fun picture with his hair flying.
 Kelten being Mummied
 Ghost Busting
They said to make the balloons to look like ghost, but that was a lot of work, so I left them blue. They had to sit on them to pop them. Pretty funny to watch.

 Witches Brew.
Each boy has a single ingredient taped to his back (20 of them) they have to collect all 20 ingredients from the other boys, while at them same time trying to keep boys from getting the ones off their back. I think it was so fun for them. A boy would fall and, there was no "are you OK". they would swarm the boy stealing all his food papers. The best thing about the whole evening was we didn't have a single injury or tears, success!!!

The other kids being smart and hiding under the table to protect themselves from the crazy running boys!

Experimenting with the face paints we got this year, last years paints were lousy. They were great. This of course was Todds creation. He is amazing. I wish he could be around to help on the days, that it was needed. He does too!

All dressed up for Nephi Trick-or-treating
This was Tay's costume for Kindergarten, and I think it was bigger on Tay. She was such a tiny girl, still is! TJ makes a cute little witch.
I saw this costume online, and decided it was way to cute not to dress Knightin up this way.
Kelten wanted to be a contractor, he looked more the part once he had his vest and hard hat on, but we didn't have them yet.
 Mummy boy!

I don't know if Tay was anything in particular, we just through things together that looked cool. We liked how her spider on her face turned out!

Hope you enjoyed our October!
