The first week of Todd's vacation time was spent relaxing, going to the County Fair and Demolition Derby. This last week we went camping at Camperworld and then finished the week with attending the sealing of Todd's cousin Josh to his wife and two kids. It was a great way to end a great week, plus we got to spend a couple of days with Grandpa and Grandma Jim. Camperworld is right next to the Nebo Loop senic Byway, which we took advantage of. We did some hiking and took in the beautiful scenery. We also did a lot of swimming and despite my best efforts there was still plenty of sunburning. On Wed. Uncle Peter came and spent the day with us along with his friend Lorrianne. We went to Yuba Lake and did some boating, playing in the sand, and of course chasing the seagulls. We did some Barbecuing and roasting marshmallows, and enjoying the fresh air as well. It was a good two weeks and we are sad to see it end. Vacations are never long enough.
One of the views you can see, up towards the top of Nebo Loop.
This was an old tree that had fallen over and the kids thought it was so cool and huge.
Knightin really doesn't enjoy the boat yet. The first time we went he wouldn't let go of Todd or I. We now have progressed to at least just sitting by us. The boat works magically well like a moving car to lull a child to sleep. So as Todd drove around Knightin slept. It was nice.
I was sent an e-mail with a picture like these, and right away new we had to give it a try. This is is so my boys.
They spent probably about 20 minute with these seagulls.
To be a kid again, well actually I don't want to be a kid again, but I would love to be able to forget my grownup responsibilities a little more often and enjoy the simple things of life.
Uncle Peter brought his guitar, and we had some great fun listening to him play.
Every year Todd and I do our own school pictures(or yearly pictures). We don't like the one that are taken at school and don't like the prices the come with have them professionally done. So while we were at Camperworld we took advantage of the landscaping and got our kids pictures done. Plus I love taking pictures of my kids.
I had too many of want I think are fun pictures to share, to put all of them one by one. So I made some more slide shows. The first one is more picture from our week of camping and having fun. The second one is more shots from when we were taking the yearly pictures.
If you want to see the slide show bigger, click on the Picasa icon, then click on the album. This will take you to Picasa's web page and you can play the slide show there full screen.
